Hi Ron,
Back in October of 2006 I attended your Smoking Cessation by Hypnosis class across from RGH on Union Street. Perhaps you remember me from the Engineering department at RGH. I still have not smoked since that class. Its been a wonderful experience for me. I thank you again. In November of 2007, a year after the class, I wanted to challenge myself, a kind of personnal celebration for a year of not smoking. So I signed up for the Manchester Road Race. I've never been a runner in my life. My family and some coworkers were surprised with the news. With a few weeks of training prior to the race, I was able to complete the course of 4.7 miles, in a modest 51 minutes. As you know, I never could have accomplished that feat if I remained smoking. In November of 2008, I registered and ran the course again, this time I challenged myself to get below 50 minutes. I ran it in 45 minutes. I'm already thinking of breaking 40 minutes next year!
Seems that of all the many challenges that we face through time, the best ones are the ones that we create for ourselves and overcome.

Hi Ron,
I attended your weight loss hypnosis session earlier this week and it was wonderful. The information on how hypnosis works and background info was good, and then the hypnosis itself was very relaxing and easy. I love the CD and listen to it at night and do sleep better using it. You have a very soothing and calming voice. I have noticed a big change in the way I think about food, and even in how certain foods taste or no longer appeal to me. It has been great to not be always thinking about what I want to eat, or what I want for a snack at night, etc. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering the session. I have enjoyed working with you in this manner, and in other professional meetings. Thank you!

I have to say you generated a lot of interest in the parenting class! Several staff are going to sign up for it. Ron: Thank you for speaking at our CLASS meeting this afternoon. Your talk on being in the green was excellent. I actually used some of those techniques after leaving the meeting and facing my mother's oncologist. She is very aggressive and lets the inflamatory remarks flow frequently. I spoke to her in a very calm voice and told her that I did expect to be treated with respect and did not like the kind of language she was using towards my mother and myself. You were right, her jaw fell to the ground and the eyes popped.

Just wanted to tell you that I love the stress managment CD. If nothing else, on the days I am smart enough to listen to it I always sleep well that night. For me that is saying a lot!!
My cats also love the CD. I think it is because they are always aware of my stress level and prefer me to be calm.

I just recently attended your lecture on kid's flying the plane and finally truly realized how my choice of words and tone/body language have in effect molded my child's behavoir. I was wondering if you could reccommend some literature or cd to help me stay in the green. (Particularly a list of words that should never be used- should being one of them). I have certainly spent most of my life in the red probably with a touch of orange and feel that if i don't have something to refer to from time to time that I will likely use that method again. My wife had to drag me to your class. I didn't want to go but I'm so glad I did. We really enjoyed it and learned more than I even though we could. Just like you said our 8 and 10 year olds were flying our plane. There is no more fighting with the kids and we are the pilots. My wife and I want to thank you.
